Dynamic weir and inlet

Normally, river weirs consist of a dynamic weir, from which the threshold value is lower during high water conditions and higher during low water conditions. Is is possible to make a dynamic weir where the threshold value can be changed to be dependent on the upstream water level during a simulation? This would also be useful for inlets.
