Herewith we would like to inform you about the planned maintenance of our software at the start of 2019, and about the developments of the Tygron Platform in the near future.
On Thursday the 3rd of January 2019 maintenance of the Tygron servers will start around 9 AM. Because of this, our servers will temporarily be inaccessible on the 3rd of January. We ask you to take into account that the shutdown might continue until the weekend of January 5th.
What are our plans for next year?
On the (almost) shortest day of the year, Tygron is already heading towards the summer: the season we are going to release the newest version of the Tygron Platform. The challenges around climate change and energy transition are expanding and Tygron adapts to these developments with new and improved functionality.
New and improved in 2019
The improved water module focuses more on:
- Flooding. Fast and accurate calculations: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HfKkmCCUS4Q
- Drought. Calculate critical points and decide what measures to take. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CgBYRUwymoM
- Water quality. Examine the risk areas and look for solutions. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bOlD1m8JufM
The energy transition issue asks for a good understanding of networks. This is why, at the 1st of January, the network module is available on the LTS: map all possible networks (electricity, gas, water, communication etc.). More information:
To our dedicated users:
- In due time you can calculate with an even bigger surface area. Area’s of 30x30km will be available soon.
- The user interface will respond more effectively to your objective: a more clear distinction between gaining insight in the state of affairs in an area, planning future measures and synchronizing processes with stakeholders.
To all educational institutions: the EDU-event and the Student Competition
On the 7th of February 2019, the yearly EDU-event will take place at the University of Amsterdam, from 1 PM to 5:30 PM. We would like to invite you to take part! The purpose of the event is to connect schools that (want to) use the Tygron Engine, to expand the network people inform and inspire each other with. The theme is as follows: “TYGRON IN EDUCATION, BIGGER THAN EVER!” By working with the FREE-EDU license, we want to stimulate educational institutes to use our software and form an active community for them to share knowledge of the projects they execute on the Tygron Platform. We hope many of you will attend the event to talk about, or listen to, all the different kinds of projects carried out on the Tygron Platform.
Please visit our website to find more information about the Student Competition, which will be launched in the spring of 2019.
Our server will temporarily be inaccessible on Thursday the 3rd of January. The shutdown might take all weekend. Did you plan a session in this period? Please let us know as soon as possible. We always try to schedule the maintenance of our software around important sessions of our users.
We advise you to open and test your projects after the maintenance is finished. We are ready to help, so feel free to call us or send an email.
